Property and holiday accommodation with wheelchair access

admin 2 Update - payment for use of your home as a TV location would be around £1,500 to £2,000 per week.

Would you like to see your home on TV?!  A BBC TV producer has contacted us.  They are looking for a home in the London area which has been adapted for a wheelchair user to use as a location for a new drama.  Filming takes place in January 2015.  Details below.  If you think your home fits the bill and you are interested, please get in touch with Tom Timbers directly.

We are in the early stages of pre-production for a new BBC drama based on a real life story and I am hoping you might be able to help me in my quest to find an authentic location in the London area.

My Baby, produced by BBC Current Affairs, is the third instalment in the critically acclaimed strand of programming that brings true life stories to the BBC audience.
The last title produced was 'Murdered by my Boyfriend' for BBC - Murdered by My Boyfriend (TV Movie 2014) - IMDb which received very positive reviews and was praised for highlighting the issue of domestic abuse and sparking conversation about the problem.

My Baby tackles a different, but equally important subject as we follow the fortunes of our two hero characters, one partially sighted and the other a wheelchair user, as they fall in love and start a family and their personal battle to be allowed to raise their daughter independently. This is a lovely story that highlights the strong personalities of the characters, their determination and love for each other and their daughter and that seeks to break stereotypes and create a positive image of a non-typical family.

We are looking for a key location to play the couple's family house. In order to remain faithful to the story and the characters we are hoping to find a location that has been specially adapted for disabled access and this is where I am hoping you may be able to help. Whether that be passing the above email onto those who might want to help or suggesting places/people to contact/places to advertise that would be extremely helpful.

As mentioned, we are looking for a location in the London area, with disabled access, a family home that is fairly roomy (for a film crew) and would be happy to accommodate our crew for up to 5 days in early January 2015.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Tom Timbers
