CURRENTLY UNDER OFFER.

A lovely Edwardian House with three bedrooms and two reception rooms in good decorative condition which has been adapted for a wheelchair user. Wheelchair access is easy to the entire house with the exception of one bedroom. The entrance door contains the original glazing which has been expertly refurbished.

The bathroom has a level access wheelchair shower. The room has plenty of space and direct access to the bedroom with lift access. The toilet is also in the bathroom and has a pull down grab rail. A downstairs toilet is accessible from the conservatory on the level, but a wheelchair could not go inside. Mobile hoists have been regularly used in four rooms in the house.

Local shops involve one ramped crossing of a side street. A further use of a pelican crossing reaches a large well tended ornamental garden. Local bus station and rail station with ramped access involves crossing three ramped side streets. The elderly disabled resident of this house also went in her wheelchair to Eltham High Street.

All rooms have the original picture rails. The hall and front room have original cornicing. Three rooms have original cupboards, but in the 1950's hardboard panels were put on the doors and also on the room entrance doors. The same was true of the staircase spindles which were I believe completely intact. All these panels could be removed and the items restored to original if a new owner so wished.

This has been a happy family home for the last 76 years, and we hope that it will be so for the next owner.  It is missed by the current owner who has had to move finally into a nursing home.

Entry to the house is on the level and incorporates an entry system. This system has 5 telephone control points including one in the through floor wheelchair lift. The lift is a fairly new Wessex hydraulic lift which is large enough to take indoor/outdoor electric wheelchairs. The lift also has an ordinary telephone.

The house is fully double glazed. The windows all have low level catches which are suitable for opening from a wheelchair. The bedroom with the wheelchair lift access also has an electrically operating window controlled by a remote, so that it can be opened and closed from the bed. The house is partially heated by gas central heating.

The Kitchen has electric rise and fall worktops for hob and sink enabling perfect use from wheelchair or standing positions. There is level (slight ramp) access to the conservatory and garden, although access within the long level garden could be improved. A washing machine is sited in the conservatory.
