Aquaneed is a specialist accessible bathroom design and installation provider that has been in business since 2001 . They understand that maintaining your independence and dignity is vitally important, regardless of whether you have a disability, which limits your movement, or your mobility is not what it used to be when you were younger. The company's accessible bathroom design services take the hassle out of bathing and showering, thereby giving you your independence back.
Making a difference
MD, Richard Caddle, embarked on a career in caring for others at the age of 19 and became a care worker for the elderly and less able.
The experience of assisting people with mobility issues gave Richard an insight into the challenges people with a disability or limited mobility can face. Trying to bathe or shower in a standard bathroom setting, which was totally unsuitable for their needs was often an undignified struggle some people had to face every day.
After working for a specialist adaptation company, as well as in the construction industry, Richard decided to set up Aquaneed in 2001. Built on an ethos of caring, a desire to help, and quality workmanship, the company has grown from strength to strength over the years.
We are proud to have been able to make a difference by improving the lives of countless elderly people and those with disabilities or limited mobility.
Specialising in aesthetic accessible bathroom design and fitting, including easy access wet rooms and walk-in baths, non-slip flooring, raised height toilets, and accessories such as drop-down or grab rails.
Wet room solutions deliver unparalleled accessibility and safety and are therefore the ideal answer for a wheelchair user or someone with less mobility.
Walk-in baths provide a practical solution to a comfortable bathing experience by way of a watertight integrated door, while a walk-in shower bath is an easy solution for someone living with a wider family.
Catering for individual needs
Understanding that everyone’s needs are different and that one size does not fit all. Aquaneed appreciates that for many of our clients, understanding the options available is daunting. This is why we offer free, impartial advice, and a service geared towards gaining a genuine understanding of your immediate and long-term needs.
How is works
To ensure that clients get the best solution and design for their individual needs, Aquaneed always recommends an Occupational Therapist gets involved in the design process. Experience shows that they will not only look at current needs but at those you may have in the future. As part of the design service, they provide a free on-site survey of your bathroom space and get an understanding of your style and product preference.
3D design diagrams are a great tool, in that they allow you to visualise the adaptation before we begin with the installation process. It clearly allows everyone to see how the proposed adaptation will work for the individual. In addition, Aquaneed provides you with a bespoke product quotation, detailing the overall cost of your bathroom products. Once the design has been approved, one of their experienced installation teams will commence with the work.
